Terms of Service
These are the terms for using Vise. They are written in plain words. Prices, minutes and each plan's guarantee are on that plan's page and at checkout, and they apply to your purchase.

Who these Terms are with
These Terms cover the Vise AI receptionist and the related services (the “Service”) provided by Vise Systems (“Vise,” “we,” “us”). “You” means the business that signs up. “Callers” means the people who call or text your business line.
By buying a plan, or by using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to the Refunds and cancellation page. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle data.
1. The Service, by plan
Vise sells three plans. What you get depends on the plan you buy at checkout.
- Starter and Receptionist. The AI receptionist answers the calls you forward to it, finds out what the job is and where it is, sends urgent calls to you, and texts or emails you the lead. Starter and Receptionist have the same features. They differ in included minutes, and only Receptionist has the 30-day guarantee and a yearly option. They do not book appointments or estimates.
- Booked Estimates. Everything the receptionist does, and it also books estimates on your calendar while the caller is on the phone. Booking is available only on Booked Estimates.
The price, billing interval and included minutes for each plan are shown on that plan’s page and at checkout. We set the receptionist up for you. Our target is to be live within 7 days of your payment. The written guarantees are on the Refunds and cancellation page.
The Service uses automated and AI technology. It can make mistakes. You are responsible for reviewing the leads, call summaries and bookings it produces.
2. Your account
You must be a business in the United States, you must be at least 18, and you must be allowed to bind your business to these Terms.
You are responsible for your account and for the information you give us to set up the Service: your hours, services, service area, how price questions are handled, and who gets urgent calls. Keep your setup link private. Anyone who has it can change your setup.
3. Fees and billing
- Price. The price of your plan is the price shown on that plan’s page and at checkout. All prices are in US dollars (USD).
- Automatic renewal. You pay at checkout. After that your plan renews automatically, every month on a monthly plan or every year on a yearly plan, on the same date, until you cancel. Checkout shows the renewal amount and interval before you pay.
- Setup fee. Booked Estimates has a one-time setup fee, charged with the first payment. Starter and Receptionist have no setup fee.
- Minutes. Each plan includes a number of minutes each month. Minutes past the included amount are billed after the month at the per-minute rate shown on your plan’s page. Extra minutes are charged to the card on file through Stripe.
- Taxes. Prices do not include sales tax. We do not collect sales tax unless the law requires it. If we have to collect it, it is shown at checkout.
- Payment processing. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Failed payments. If a payment fails, we tell you and give you a chance to update your card. If it stays unpaid after that notice, we may pause or end the Service.
4. Cancelling
You can cancel any plan at any time, with no notice period. Cancel online in the Stripe billing portal or email sean@visebuilt.com.
Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you have already paid for, then it stops and does not renew. You are not charged for another month or year after you cancel. Extra minutes you used before the plan ended are still billed after the month. We do not refund the unused part of a paid month or year, except under a guarantee. The details are on Refunds and cancellation.
Changing plans. A bigger plan starts now and the price difference for the rest of the period is added to your next bill. A smaller plan or a shorter interval starts at your next renewal.
When your plan ends, the receptionist stops answering. If you forward calls to the receptionist, turn that forwarding off with your phone carrier so calls ring your own phone again. We will help if you ask.
We may suspend or end the Service if you break these Terms. When we reasonably can, we tell you first.
5. Guarantees
The Receptionist plan comes with this guarantee:
Not happy in your first 30 days? Your first month back.
The Booked Estimates plan comes with this guarantee:
Live in 7 days or your setup fee back.
The Starter plan has no guarantee. The conditions for each guarantee, including how to claim it and what is refunded, are on the Refunds and cancellation page and are part of these Terms. We make no other promise about the number of calls, leads, jobs or revenue.
6. Call records and AI disclosure
- The receptionist answers as your receptionist. It is an AI, and it never claims to be a person. It does not announce that it is an AI on its own. If a caller asks whether they are speaking with a person or an AI, it says it is an AI receptionist.
- We do not record call audio. Each call is transcribed as it happens so the receptionist can write a summary. The summary is texted or emailed to you, and we keep a written call record that includes the transcript. Recording call audio is not part of the Service.
- You will not set up the Service to deny being an AI when a caller asks. You are responsible for following any law that applies to your business about AI disclosure or call transcription.
7. Text messages
- Consent. The Service texts a caller only about the caller’s own call or request, and only after the caller gives their number and agrees during the call. It does not send unrelated marketing texts. If you want to send marketing texts, you must first have the prior express written consent the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (47 U.S.C. 227) and FCC rules require.
- Stopping texts. The first text to a caller, and every reply to HELP, includes “Reply STOP to opt out.” Reply STOP, or UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END or QUIT, at any time and we stop texting that number right away. We send one confirmation of the opt-out where carriers allow it. We honor STOP on every channel we text from.
- Help. Reply HELP to a text and the answer names the business that owns the line and how to reach it.
- Frequency and rates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
- Carrier registration. To text from your line, the phone carriers require a registration for your business (A2P 10DLC). Before texts can start, we ask for your business’s legal name and EIN, and we use them to register texting for your line with the carriers. You give us accurate information. Texts can start after the carriers approve that registration, which can be after your voice line goes live.
- Your duties. You will not use the Service to send texts without the consent the law requires, to send telemarketing texts to numbers on the National Do Not Call Registry without consent, or to send texts outside 8 AM to 9 PM in the recipient’s local time.
- No sharing. Mobile numbers and text opt-in data are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See the Privacy Policy.
8. Acceptable use
- Do not use the Service for anything unlawful, deceptive, harassing or harmful.
- The Service answers inbound calls. Do not use it to place outbound sales calls or telemarketing.
- Do not use the Service to collect sensitive data such as full card numbers, medical records or Social Security numbers.
- The Service is not a 911 or emergency service. Set it to tell callers with an emergency to hang up and dial 911.
9. Your data
The Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how long we keep it and who we share it with. Between you and us, you own your callers’ information, and we handle it to provide the Service. We do not sell it.
10. Third-party services
The Service relies on providers for phone and text, speech, AI, calendar, email and payments. We list them by category in the Privacy Policy. Their outages are outside our control.
11. Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided “as is.” We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error free. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid in the 3 months before the claim, and neither of us is liable for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing in these Terms limits a liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
12. Indemnity
You will defend us against claims that come from how you set up the Service, the content of your messages, or your failure to get a consent that you are responsible for.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. For a material change we give you 30 days notice by email before it applies to you. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts in Michigan. If something is wrong, email us first. We answer within 1 business day, and most problems are settled directly.
