Call forwarding

Keep your number. Send the calls you miss to your receptionist.

Your phone still rings first. Only the calls you do not pick up go to your receptionist. You keep your number, your business cards and your Google listing exactly as they are.

How it works

Three things, in this order.

  1. 01

    You get a receptionist number

After you sign up, we assign you a receptionist number. Setup shows it and fills it into the steps below for your phone company.

  2. 02

You forward the calls you miss

One code from your phone, or one setting in your phone system. Your phone rings first. Only unanswered calls move over.

  3. 03

    You make a test call

Call your business number from another phone and let it ring through. Nothing goes live until that call passes.

Forwarding questions

Before you forward anything.

Do I keep my phone number?

Yes. Nothing changes about your number, your business cards or your Google listing. You only tell your phone to send the calls you do not pick up to your receptionist number.

Will my phone still ring first?

Yes, when you use the no-answer code or setting on this page. Your phone rings as it does today. If you do not pick up, the call goes to your receptionist.

How do I turn it off?

Use the turn-off code for your phone company, or switch the setting off in your phone system. Your phone goes back to working as it did before.

What if my phone company is not here?

Most phone systems have a setting for forwarding calls that go unanswered. Look for "no answer" or "busy / no answer" forwarding. Not sure? Book a 30-min call and we will set it up with you.

When do I get my receptionist number?

After you sign up. Setup shows your number and fills it into these steps for your phone company. Nothing goes live until your test call passes.
